Richard Avedon
This is a photograph taken by Richard Avedon, it is a picture with a lady with her hair flying in the air. I like his photograph's because he's a fashion photographer, and his pictures are beautiful and interesting. This picture reminds of someone walking outside while the wind is blowing against you and how your hair flies up. She isn't outside in this picture but they made her hair fly up some way. This lady looks really young, maybe 16 or 17, and she has light colored hair, possibly blond. She isn't wearing alot of makeup and her shoulders are bare. The lady has very long hair and even though this picture doesnt have anything in the background it still shows enough for it to be a good picture.
Alfred Stieglitz
This is a photo taken by Alfred Stieglitz, it is a picture of a tree and lake showing the reflection of the tree. In the back there is a forest and bushes all along the lake and a few in it. The tree in the middle that is the focus point looks like it also reflecting the branches side to side, not just the reflection in the lake. It's a simple picture but it shows a lot, how it shows this tree alone, kind of like a person. There is also a pattern of triangles in the branches and its interesting.

Paul Strand
( Photo by: Paul Strand )
This is a picture of a boy who is probably 17 or 18 and he looks mad. His hair is not messy it is clean and brushed back but the picture makes him look dirty. I thought at first that he probably worked in a farm or something. This kid doesn't look mad, but doesn't loo happy. To me it kind of looks like he doesn't care, he looks like he probably didn't want to take this pictures, that's why he wasn't smiling.

Gordon Parks
(Photo taken by: Gordon Parks)
This is a picture of a lady with a mop and a broom in her hand, and in the background there is an American flag. She's probably cleaning up after a show or something where they had to support their country in some sort. It looks like there's a piano in the background, which kind of reminds of a elementary lunch room or something. This lady might not be too happy with her job.

Dorothea Lange
(Photo by: Dorothea Lange "Migrant Mother")
This picture is of a lady with her three children, and she looks like she needs help and her kids don't look happy. Her and her kids are all dirty and skinny, if they are migrating like the name of this picture says they are't prepared at all and they might not have made it to the place where they were going. It looks like they're sitting under something for shade maybe. It doesn't look like a house, to me it looks like maybe an airplane, they probably found an abandon airplane or something similar and sat under it to rest. Maybe they're migrating to find a better life somewhere else. They could have made it to their destination, and they could've failed at least the mom tried.

William Klein
This lady is letting her bird drink her alcohol beverage, I think that is what makes this picture unique. This lady looks more high class at that moment sharing her drink with her bird. wouldn't you think she wouldn't like the bird because she looks "fancy". I think this is a beautiful photo, the way it focuses on the lady and the bird and how its all black and white, but a happy picture. She's not even smiling but this picture has positive vibes to it.

Diane Arbus
Diane Arbus was born on March 14, 1923 in New York City, and died July 26, 1971. A famous quote from her is "A photograph is a secret about a secret. The more it tells you the less you know."
Diane committed suicide in New York. She learned her Photography, from her husband Allan Arbus, but soon branched out on her own. Her unusual images of people she saw in New York make her work unique. Her artistic talents emerged at an early age in high school, she began painting and drawing interesting things.

Lilian Bassman
Lillian Violet Bassman was born on June 15, 1917, in Brooklyn and grew up in the Bronx, she became a magazine art director and a fashion photographer, and died at age 94. In late 1945 Lilian was asked to be the art director of the Bazaar magazine. On her lunch hours she would go to the darkroom and develop fashion photographs, using tissues and gauze Lilian would apply bleach to certain areas to manipulate tone.
On the left is a photo taken by Lilian Bassman. This photograh is a photo of a lady in a dress looking upwards, maybe to the sky. In the back of her dress she has her hands folded crossing her hands behind her back. The lady look like she's probably rich in that time period.

Ansel Adams
Ansel Adams was born on February 20, 1902 and died April 22, 1984. His black and white photographs of the American West have been widely reproduced on calendars, posters, and books. Between 1929 and 1942 his work and reputation developed. By the 1960s appreciation f or photography in art form developed to the point which Adams photographs were shown in large galleries and museums.
This picture is one of many photos taken by Ansel Adams. This is a picture of a forest in black and white, it has a lot of depth of field because some trees are closer than others and the trees in the background look smaller. I think something interesting about this picture is how the only thing you can see is the trees, the background is black. It looks like it was maybe taken at night or something.

Weegee
This is one of the photos shot by Weegee. This is a picture of a clown in a dressing room, but this photo to me is very creepy but interesting. Before I knew that this clown was an actor, I thought someone actually liked to be dresses up like that and he was just some creepy stranger Weegee saw. What do other people think the story behind this picture is? I do think some other pictures from him are interesting, but some are too gory, or just plain weird. For example the pictures he took at crime scenes, I mean that was his work but it doesn't interest me.

Creative Story
(Photo taken by: Keith Carters) (ALL FICTIONAL STORY!!!!)
The Rabbit
One day Andrew was walking in the forest with one of his good friends Angel. It was cold outside because it October. "What are you gonna be for Halloween?" Andrew asked Angel. "I don't know yet, maybe a witch, what about you?" she asked. He turned away from looking at her and told her to start walking faster. Andrew looked scared and Angel was confused because she didn't know what he got scared of, she started walking faster to keep up with him. They turned the corner "Why did you get scared, what's wrong Andrew" she cried. "You didn't see that Angel?" "It was someone watching us in a rabbit suit, and I know it's probably just someone in a costume, but that's not the first time I've seen that creepy person lurking around today." Andrew paused for a moment, "I think it might be following me, I don't know why but I think it is." Angel didn't say anything for a moment. "Stop okay, I get it you love Halloween but it's not funny to joke like that I'm really creeped out!" "I'm not playing I don't know who that person is I keep seeing it all day!" Then they heard something in the woods so they started running, running, running, they were getting tired so Angel looked back and her surprise the psycho in the rabbit suit was chasing them."Keep running he's following us!" Angel screamed. They were almost out of the forest and to the road, then they fell into a hole, they didn't know where it came from but Andrew and Angel were so scared they started crying. They just wanted to get home, they thought they were going to die so they hugged each other, crying scared. Then darkness, they could hear their heart beating, and the person who trapped them was still up there so they didn't want to call out for help. All they could see was black, darkness, black, darkness, black, black, black. So scared for their their lives Andrew could only come with one solution, "I'm gonna pick you up and you climb out and run okay? Don't look back no matter what" he told her. So he picked her up and she ran. He heard screaming that sounded just like her, he knew she was caught. Minutes later the rabbit threw he down to the hole unconscious. Then a big round thing started coming down it looked like a rock and it hit him right right in the head. This was no scary story where the bad guys lose, not at all. They were gone, dead.

This is one on Penn's fashion pictures, this photograph is from 1995 Bee (A) or well known as Bee On Lips. This picture is of a lady with a bee on her lip. I like this picture because it is interesting. Why is there a bee on her lips? I also like it because Peen inspired Sean+Seng to take a picture similar to this . A bee perched on famous singer Lana Del Rey's lips.

Shutter Speed.
A picture is taken when the shutter opens and the image is exposed to light. Shutter speed is how fast the shutter opens and closes. Shutter speed is measured in fractions of a second, the larger the denominator the faster the shutter will open and close. As the shutter speed increases the amount of light getting to an image decreases. A shutter speed of 1/1000 is faster than 1\500, but only get half the amount of light. The shutter speed is affected by the aperture and the ISO setting. Using a high ISO setting or a Larger aperture will allow more light into the camera. This allows a faster shutter speed.

https://rachelbloggyfroggy.wordpress.com/2011/03/02/perspective-rule-of-thirds-leading-lines/
This is a picture of depth of photo because the lady's hands are in the foreground and the sun is in the background. This photo is also using rule of thirds because the main focus is more off to side, rather than in the middle of the picture. The bottom hand is also leading lines because it's leading to the sun.

F Stop
F Stop is the opening that lets light into your camera. The numbers of F Stop relates to the size of the opening that lets light into your camera. The F Stops are are a measurement of the diameter of the aperture. The apertures are backwards, for example F8 is smaller than an aperture of F4. The larger the number the smaller the opening.
