exposure triangleOne thing I learned off the website was the Exposure Triangle. Aperture controls the area which light can enter your camera. ISO controls your cameras sensitivity to your cameras sensor  to the amount of light. Shutter speed controls the duration of exposure.

Lilian Bassman

Lillian Violet Bassman was born on June 15, 1917, in Brooklyn and grew up in the Bronx, she became a magazine art director and a fashion photographer, and died at age 94. In late 1945 Lilian was asked to be the art director of the Bazaar magazine. On her lunch hours she would go to the darkroom and develop fashion photographs, using tissues and gauze Lilian would apply bleach to certain areas to manipulate tone.

On the left is a photo taken by Lilian Bassman. This photograh is a photo of a lady in a dress looking  upwards, maybe to the sky. In the back of her dress she has her hands folded crossing her hands behind her back. The lady look like she's probably rich in that time period.

Robert Frank

This is a photo taken by Robert Frank, I think that it's very interesting because this girl looks like she's 12 and she's smoking. Like no girl do not, and like what if that's her little sister right there.

Ansel Adams

Ansel Adams was born on February 20, 1902 and died April 22, 1984. His black and white photographs of the American West have been widely reproduced on calendars, posters, and books. Between 1929 and 1942 his work and reputation developed. By the 1960s appreciation f or photography in art form developed to the point which Adams photographs were shown in large galleries and museums.

This picture is one of many photos taken by Ansel Adams. This is a picture of a forest in black and white, it has a lot of depth of field because some trees are closer than others and the trees in the background look smaller. I think something interesting about this picture is how the only thing you can see is the trees, the background is black. It looks like it was maybe taken at night or something.

http://creativeoverflow.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/Macro-Photography-Water-Drops11.jpg

I like this picture because the water drops are leading lines, and inside of them you can see clearly the flower in the background even though it is blurry in the background thats behind the water drops.
Henry Callahan

Henry took a picture of some kind of tree with black and white, and why I like this picture is because it looks like the white is glowing.

Weegee

This is one of the photos shot by Weegee. This is a picture of a clown in a dressing room, but this photo to me is very creepy but interesting. Before I knew that this clown was an actor, I thought someone actually liked to be dresses up like that and he was just some creepy stranger Weegee saw. What do other people think the story behind this picture is? I do think some other pictures from him are interesting, but some are too gory, or just plain weird. For example the pictures he took at crime scenes, I mean that was his work but it doesn't interest me.
