This Weeks Photography Experience 1/26/16

This week  we had to take about 20 photos while our eyes were closed and you would spin around at the same time. When I took mine, I only took like 6 pictures that were not that good. Most of them were of the sky because I didn't realize that the camera was facing upwards. I took my photos by the orchestra portables because we have never taken pictures by them before, and it didn't turn out that good. There was nothing interesting right there. I took them there because I didn't know where to take them. I didn't want to take them as the same place as everyone in my group took them. I probably could have chosen a better place to take them. I wasn't the only one in my group to take them at the sky instead of the people or our surroundings.

Edward Weston

EW
Edward Weston was born March 24, 1886, in Highland Park, Illinois. The first pictures he took were of the parks of Chicago and his aunt's farm. In 1960 Edward moved to California following his photograph in Camera and Darkroom. After working as a surveyor for San Pedro, Los Angeles, and Salt Lake he started working as an itinerant photographer. He would take pictures of things such as children, pets and funerals. In 1908 Edward Weston realized he needed formal training, and returned east and attended the Illinois College of Photography in Effingham, Illinois. He completed a 12 month course in half that time and returned back to California. In 1909 Weston moved to the Louis A. Mojonier Portrait Studio as a photographer.

My Photography Experience in School 1/20/16

Yesterday I went out of the class to take pictures of reflections around the school, when i was walking looking at the window because it had our reflection on it the lady at the front desk with fake eyebrows yelled at us saying "quit standing around, you need to be taking pictures or you need to go back to class." We were only standing there for like a minute and she was all mad, so we walked away and went to go take pictures some wheres else. Then about 10 minutes later we went to the auditorium and we sat down to find a picture to take and the fake eyebrow lady came in and yelled at us again saying " Y'all guy need to get back to class now if you're not taking pictures, and I'm going to call your teacher!!!" So I we left and she yelled at us again to get back but we were already walking back. I didn't have a good photography experience for this week so far, we didn't get good pictures because we kept getting yelled at for no reason. Maybe next week we will not get yelled at and we will get to capture amazing photos of next weeks assignment.
