Edward Weston
Edward Weston was born March 24, 1886, in Highland Park, Illinois. The first pictures he took were of the parks of Chicago and his aunt's farm. In 1960 Edward moved to California following his photograph in Camera and Darkroom. After working as a surveyor for San Pedro, Los Angeles, and Salt Lake he started working as an itinerant photographer. He would take pictures of things such as children, pets and funerals. In 1908 Edward Weston realized he needed formal training, and returned east and attended the Illinois College of Photography in Effingham, Illinois. He completed a 12 month course in half that time and returned back to California. In 1909 Weston moved to the Louis A. Mojonier Portrait Studio as a photographer.
